ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba says the party is confident of its chances in the City of Johannesburg as South Africans head to the polls.
Mashaba was speaking after arriving at the Sandton fire station to cast his vote in the local government elections.
He said ActionSA believes it has put in the work ahead of the election, with the party's priorities clearly communicated to voters.
Mashaba said there is no reason for the party to doubt its chances of success, adding that it is ready to take over the governance of Johannesburg should voters give it the mandate.
"I'm more than confident and we worked hard the last six months. I'm the only mayor in this country who worked with 10 mmcs already earmarked so that when people of Joburg give us the mandate to be the government, we will hit the ground running immediately. I've worked hard in communities who are the biggest victims of this ANC's mismanagement and corruption."
