ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the party's final election message in Kugombo City on Sunday as the party makes the final push just a few hours before South Africans head to the polls.

Ramaphosa will give the keynote address at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium in Mdantsane in the Buffalo City Metro, to wrap up the party's campaign for what will be a hotly contested local government election.

The ANC will also hold various provincial rallies at four sites to close the campaign.

President Cyril Ramaphosa and the ANC will end their campaign in Buffalo City, facing the real prospect of losing the metro.

Buffalo City, once considered a party stronghold, could go down to the wire this time, with polls putting the party below 50 per cent.

Buffalo City is one of two metros that the party currently holds a clear majority in.

Ramaphosa, who did a door-to-door in the city a week ago, is expected to encourage the party's faithful supporters to come in their numbers.

With the main rally in Mdantsane, the party will hold other mini rallies in the Northern Cape, Knysna in the Western Cape, Bethlehem in the Free State and in eThekwini.
